Vermont Castings Intrepid?

Hey guys/gals, I'm looking for the left door glass for a VC Intrepid, 1985 model I believe. I have local shops here in Guilford, CT, but it's a real hassle, as in going on over a year to get the glass with no call back, etc.. Right now I have layered tin foil and it works, but you can't see the fire on that side!

Does anyone know where I can get a piece of glass, maybe even a rectangular piece, 6"X6" and cut myself? It's got a rounded corner on the top, OR purchase parts from Vermont Castings with a reasonable turnover, ie. 2 months!

Two suggestions...........

First, try a good mom & pop local glass shop. Ask them if they stock stove glass...... they should be able to cut it to match your old one or a pattern. You can't just use any old glass. I wouldn't expect the big chain windshield replacement shops to have stove glass.

Second, try http://www.woodmanspartsplus.com/ ......... they have helped me in the past with VC parts, and were nice to deal with.

Great site, thanks! I just emailed the sales dept, but from looking at the site, they can cut me a piece. Major major hassle trying to go through a VC "dealer" forget about it. It's been two years, and still no glass. Thanks again.
