Just wanted to know what all of you are paying for a 361 in differant parts of the area. I stopped into two shops today and there was about $20 difference. My awesome dealer, wasn't the cheap one for once.....lol

I paid $599 12/31 w/25" bar. He claimed he swapped the 25" bar in place of the 20" at NC.

wow, that is a little of a shocker...

539 with a 20" stihl ES at one shop

549 with a 18" E bar at the other

Both with RSC chain and a bar cover, and of coarse the tool kits & manuals.

They both said price was going up 10 bucks on feb 1st.

Of coarse, round here a 660 with a 20" ES bar will cost you 889.00 plus tax

How much stronger is the 361 over the 036 and 360?

Freed up some bucks and you've gone saw crazy again - HAHAHA

The 361 is a tough saw - I like the way it feels. Around here $589 with a 24" bar - that's sticker price now. There is plenty of room to move if the dealer likes you :) The 361 is at the top of my list as the next saw to buy - just gotta unload a few first myself.

Having spoke with a few fellas who have a bunch of time behind each saw, the 036 has more grunt and shines in the bigger wood, where the 361 turns the R's. Two ways to skin the same cat.

Good Thread, 361 will be my next new saw purchase. I going to call my dealer in Abilene tomorrow and price one.

Didn't plan on getting rid of the 036 pro, but was just window shopping for once. I'm gonna open it up, after I get some more logs so I can get some test time on it stock.

Stihl gots lots of saws Josh, need to get rid of a few more, just thought I'd look at one. lol. I normally buy on impulse, and I didn't come home with anything other than a cylinder gasket...lol

The house is more important right now

Freak I have seen the 361's in a dealer in IL. for 499.00 + tax

Damn, looks like I should go to IL to get my 460 then...

Here in MI, a 460 w/25" is $819.99 and a 28" for 829.99 + tax of course.

dealer seems to offer 10 to 12% discount i can get an 18" for £600 $1122
i think its either import from states or buy a 357xp for £449 from an excellent dealer that has a whole saw in spares and the parts are about half the equivalent stihl prices and before anyone starts there are NO dolmar dealers nearby
ms361 CBQ LOL

Unless you really want the ms361...the 357 is a more economical purchase.
