XP sticker on a Stilh is good for around a 20% gain...

Xtra [emoji192]

Xtra pee.

Xtra plasticy.

Xtra Powerless

Xcreting petroleum

Xtra problems

Xplosive Pooping

Man you guys are good. These are all winners.....:rock2:

as was said in an earier post i have understood it to mean 'xtra power'. Generally they are higher performance (slightly different cylinder porting on some, better av, better clutch (2shoe vs 3shoe), more metal parts (clutch cover usually) less resticted muffler etc......
As far as i know XP is trademark of Husq. Stihl has generally used "pro" designation and or the use of even model numbers (026 or 028 vs 029) to seperate pro saws from homeowner models

a great example for husq is the 261 vs 262xp. Same platform, total parts interchange. 261 has dished piston (lower compression), lower performance carb, 2 shoe clutch. 262 has flat piston, better carb and 3 shoe clutch. these three things take an good saw (261) and make it a great saw (262xp)

In stihls mean EXTRA POWER
In husqvarnas mean EXTRA PLASTIC

In stihls mean EXTRA POWER
In husqvarnas mean EXTRA PLASTIC
Oh you poor misguided soul. If Stihl ever had an Xtra Power designation to any of their equipment it would have been stolen/ copied technology. Just like the ideas they have taken from Husqvarna/ Jonsered/ and Dolmar. The only thing Stihl does better, to their credit, is marketing.

Yup, Xtra Price - which is why Stihls have no need of this sticker.

True - and they are paying Husky for technology, but of course they don't get the latest version. :givebeer:
