What Kind of Birch is this? Pics of Load

I had a friend drop this off for a favor for selling his snowmobile. What Kind of Birch is it? The pile seems bigger and bigger when I start cutting into it.

Black Birch.....excellent burning

Yup, one of my favorite wood to burn so far. Don't last long but when it catches it really goes!

Split it soon, I bucket up some small black birch last August and split it a couple weeks ago. Still some tree juice in there.

black birch for sure .It makes good coals if seasoned properly.

Yep, black birch it is. Gotta love the wintergreen smell. As good of firewood as anything as far as I'm concerned...
