I think that is the new and improved

The guy was trying to help his brother in law, now you all mock him for helping out. But it is a pretty funny picture, and won an award, thanks RRied. Ladders have no place around trees, they need to be placed against something solid.
 
I disagree ladders are a great tool if used right I will
tie in to the tree and if the ladder goes I don't I
only use them on a limb raising job where they want
the limbs raised more the twenty feet! I also will use
to get on the roof to blow after days end all tools
help if used proper and safe!
 
I agree, ladders are great tools!

I often set my climbing rope high in the tree and use a ladder to get up the first 20ft. while tied in. I never cut off of a ladder and I have the ground help move it to the next tree after I'm in the tree. Most ladder injuries probably happen to inexperience users cutting off of a ladder and not being tied in.

This makes sense, of course I don't need ladders, but for those who do, this is a good idea.
