well, first off, this isn't directly related to tree work, but the answers should pretty much be the same, and who knows, i may cut a tree or two...
im wanting to mow some yards this summer for a little extra money. i've worked for a guy in the past, and i've had 7-8 yards i did on my own when i was in high school, so i can do the work well. question is, at what point would it be wise to get a business license and keep up with expenses and file everything on my taxes? i'd be perfectly happy mowing 10 yards or so, maybe pick up some business from real estate agents or something like that. should i just keep everything cash under the table? i work full time for the fire dept. so i already have insurance and all that, i also don't plan on having any employees if that matters.
thanks for any help you can give.
