Which would you run in your saws?

I would go with the higher octane. You should not have any problems if you run it out of the saw in a reasonable amount of time.

Right now I'm running 93w/ethanol. I also have some VP94 50:1 for my 555.

I run 93 non ethanol all the time. I may run some 40 fuel in the 655 since its supposed to last longer. I have a lot of stations to pick up 87-93 non ethanol at close by.

i'd run 87 without if i had the choice. been running 94 from sunoco for 2 years with eth and no problems yet.. knock on wood.

Mike, I believe this was the 1st time I've ever ran gas w/ethanol. Hasnt hurt anything. But 99% of the time I get the good 93 non-ethanol in Tennessee.

87 octane non ethanol or 91 octane with ethanol?

Definitely 87 octane non-ethanol. No saw needs higher octane, but all saws will benefit by not putting ethanol in them.

Right. Thats the way I feel about it as well. Ya know, unless a person has reasonable access to non ethanol gas. I believe this was discussed at length once before and it was the concensus that ethanol gas was fine as long as it didnt set around for a long time. Actually Stihl Ultra has a stabilizer in it I believe. Theres always stabil as well.

They both burn - ultimately they'll both equally accomplish putting a lot of wood in the truck.

87 without. its all i use. i get faster cut times with 87 then 110

Cool. I will start using 87 as well.

91 with. I keep my fuel stabalized and out of the weather, I havn't had a lick of trouble with my fuel yet.
