Nothing wrong with that. I used to have a bicycle shop and did the same thing, bring "homework" home so I could sit on the floor in the evening and watch TV and work on stuff.

The sunday paper was the best for that action, plenty of sections to spread out.

I built my sport bike back in the '70's (port/polish,dropped big bore kit liners in the oven, rebuilt everything) in my 6th fl apartment.

Used the kitchen, dining rm table, bathtub
Never heard peep 'til I started it on the balcony (open header), then rode it down the long hallway to the elevator.

When the door opened the maint man was inside coming to get me, stunned.

You can always get the sink refinished - looks nice

You might want to be more selective about who you let in - not everyone's honest these days, just sayin'

luck,greg

Just today we brought home a "new to us" 10 foot long dining room table. I have already been informed that I am not to put anything on it. And just think how many saws and part that puppy could hold...

The folks who would look down upon this kind of activity would probably be of the sort that judge similarly towards keeping ready firearms around.

And beyond that, there's no better tool in the world of construction. As long as you know where your nails are, 10 second windows are great.

Last winter I put my Jonsered 830 together on the dining room table. (no heat in the garage) My wife posted on facebook: I have an 'engine' on the table. I told her that engine was a chainsaw and it will be used to cut firewood. I do put 'training paper' under them!

Years ago I'd rebuild my sportbike in the living room, every winter. Wouldn't run it in there after the rebuild (my sisters' house... ), but she was tolerant ;-)

A couple of years ago the snowblower gas tank froze up with water in it, couldn't get it out... off to the stainless steel kitchen sink we go ;-)

More recently I've had my old Jonsereds 36 in here.... little bastard still won't run ..... bought a new one with warranty instead !

Amen!
Hondo said it best "Keep it high. Keep it loaded."

Got mad at the previous builder on my house last year and took my husky to his work. I didn't care about the nails. That crap CAME DOWN!!!!

Someone needs to understand "anything" would/could include money and/or dinner.

Like the dumbass from Warren Michigan would tell her. "I don't take no orders from women, I tell em to shut up"

I used to work on race car parts on the kitchen table at my parents house when i was younger. Mom didn't mind much, my uncle built a motorcycle in the kitchen when they were growing up. I dont have a good place in my house now where my dogs wont eat or misplace something on me.
