Looks like some type of Ash to me. Any other info for us: how does it split, is it heavy...

at first glance I would guess Ash but without more pics, maybe some leaves and any other identifying features that we can look at I wont say with 100% certainty that it is ash..

My guess would be Ash also. Been cutting a lot of it recently. EAB has hit hard here in NW Ohio.

right next to you in NJ, looks exactly like all the ash ive cut here, has that pinkish hew(cant spell) on the inside when u cut it open fresh,, and of course that bark and the moss growing all over it seems to be common for all the ash around here
