You are the proud owner of a bunch of rock elm :)
Second only to Osage Orange in BTU output and very little between the two.
32 and 30.4 mbtu.

Leave your rounds the way they are for a month or two in a sunny, windy dry place with no contact with the ground, when you see the bark start to lift away it's time to split.
Elm for some odd reason likes to shrink up a bit wrapped up in it's bark and becomes better firewood than split green.
Easier to split at that time also.
3 or 4 months after you split it's ready to burn, and burn it does :)
