Wood Stove picture.

Ive been working on the walls around my stove today. I furred the back and side walls with 3 5/8" 20 gauge metal studs, insulated them with mineral fiber insulation and covered them with 5/8" Type X drywall. I will be covering the bottom 5' of the walls and about a 4'X6' section of the floor with 12"X12" ceramic tile in the next couple of weeks. Its been raining here since yesterday afternoon and is currently about 36 degrees so I built a little fire in it tonight and man does it feel good. View attachment 81963

Yup, she is a fattie, LOL. I bought a new pair of boots a couple of days ago and laid the empty box down there and she claimed it as a bed. Now the wife wont let me throw the damn box away.
