Most of the time I do 10x10 or 8x8 pine testing to get an idea about a saw. Today I ran my
ms440 and big bore ms460 in some huge knotty pine. Both saws were running round ground skip 3/8 and 8 pin rim sprockets. The 460 had a 32" and the 440 had a 25". I know for a video I could've put a 16" 3/8 square ground full comp blablabla but I wanted to do a video of a couple of well ported saws set-up/running the way they would in the field for me. I run skip on longer bars to cut down on sharpening time 20" and under get full comp. The ms460 has a 8 rim on it and usually it would have a 7 with the long bar but I didn't swap it out because it was already set up and I didn't feel like it.

Both the 359 and 357 came out nice. The 357 will beat the 359 with a stop watch. Both these were tested with the same 18" B&C full comp 3/8 with 8 rims on em' Pulls it just fine. Both people who use these saws run them often.

This is a Husky 266 I did for my brother - Husqvarna Husky 266 SE - YouTube

This saw (266) is running a 20" 3/8 with an 8 rim round ground. I really like 266's and 670's. I think they are great all arond saws and everyone should have one. They don't have the anti-vibe their predecessors have but for the average guy they are more then enough. I don't care for the intake and impulse setup on the 266 and like how the j-red 670 has theirs. When I do a 266 I try and mimic that design.

Hope all enjoy and please post some of yours.

Hey Kevin saws look good nice Job.. is the 357 the one I did the machine work to ? Maybe a good comparison VS the 359 as far as gains with a pop-up.
Here are a few work saws I've done .. I dont video everyone mainly because wood is real hard to come by unless I use cants. (my wood has to go in the fire )
346 i did for a guy in Virgina

Likewise Eric, your saws rock as usual! Look real nice.. The comparison is actually the other way around between the 357/359.

The 357 is one I did with a flat top for Herb. That saw has no machine work at all, just did what I do.., lwred squish, ported, muffler work etc.

The 359 is the one I sent the top end to you. You cut the base of the jug and cut a pop up for it. Remember I was working the lwr transfers and those caps and the way I fitted them on?
We had many discussions when I thought I had an epiphany lol.. That saw is a screamer too but the 357 takes it by a 1/2 second or something.

Eric, amazing as usual. I don't know what it is you feed those saws, but nothing short of amazing. One thing I noticed about your saws is that they sound way different then any other ported saw I've seen, sound is awesome.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Is that because of how you mod the muffler or are they leaned out more than others?

Ported 261. Not bad for a small saw. Doesn't look as fast as Eric's 346 though.

Thanks Eric! It's a hell of a saw for its size. Brad ported it for me (his second 261, I think) and it came out great. Strong enough for felling but light enough for limbing.....what more could you ask for? I can't get over how fast your saws are in those vids! Race chains?
