i bought a red xl12 yesterday, has not ran in 7-8 years, I poured some fresh gas in it and some in the carb and it will run then stop.. I’m guessing it’s the carb.. should I order a kit for it or does someone on here sell them already to go? The carb has homelite stamped on it.. what company would have made the carb?

Remove carb and get all numbers off it. XL12’s could have Tillotson, Walbro or Zama carburetors. Need to know which before getting a carburetor kit.
