That's what I was thinking too. Make a BIG round into 3 smaller chunks, break down from there.I don't get how it works,,, are all the parts on it? 3 rams, one wedge, and they don't line up!
Maybe stand a block on end and split it vertically?

I saw an article in the Farm Show paper of a wood slitter modified like that used for crushing steel auto tire rims in from three directions so that they could pop the rubber tires off quickly at a scrapyard
I think I’d just buy a tire machine. That’s slow as Christmas.
Or at less than 1/10 the cost you could just use a reciprocating saw.
