I picked up a 3500 a couple weeks ago for 10 bucks that with a little work that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. It's earned a spot on the keepers list along with it's smaller sibling a 3300.

4200 w/bow bar for me. Mainly because it was my first saw bought new in 78. Hasn't seen much use think I'm on second chain. Hard to decide PP285, PP330.PP335,PP3450,PP380 Super,2800,3000,3300,3.3,3400,3450,3500,3600,3800,4200.

isn't it amazing that Poulan has a horrible reputation and you and many others have 30-35 year old saws that still run great.

The bad reputation comes from the city slickers who never cut wood in their life and go to wal mart and pick up a $100 or less special and expect it to do what a lumberjack model does. Let alone most of them don't even know what proper chain tension is or even as much as how to start them correctly. Also comes from the people who listen to those slickers.

My favorite Poulan is the 8500. I guess if I had to run one under 80cc it would be the 4900, or maybe the PP445, but I really see no reason too. It might be a different story if I had not run a 8500.
