They don't make chainsaws other than Stihl :) just toys that cut wood

They don't make chains other than stihl either, just crappy log chains that break easy and will cut your hands :)

so your telling me that carlton is a bad chain? they sure are good for cutting frozen and dirty wood tho. but are a pain in the rear to hand file since they are so hard.

we use oregon mostly cause i got a couple rolls for cheap. but man does it STRETCH...i prefer stihl chain except for the price. giving woodland pro/carlton a shot, just got one from baileys for my echo 680

i like carlton/woodland pro for its durability but cuts a heck of a lot slower that stihl and oregon. stihl is still my number one tho, the dealer has a deal where i buy one chain at full price and get the second for half off.

whats full price for a chain where u get urs? had the a stihl dealer make me a chain for my 346xp today, 18 inch bar, and priced it at 1$ a inch bar length. so 18$. only prob was i got home and went to put it on the saw and its 9 drive links too long!!! so i gotta drive the 10 mile back into town tomorrow mornin to get me chain. sucks.

Oregon makes the best chain in .325, and that decides it for me - as Oregon and Stihl are about equal in 3/8". Carlton isn't as good, according to the few loops I have run, so I guess WP isn't either.

ah where's the oregon power sharp guy??? tell them all, that oregon has purchased or merged with windsor. carlton. and some other brand....check it out on oregons corp. page.....they are all just about the same in my opinion....i prefer a sharp chain any time doesn't matter the brand.
just in case your wondering though its carlton and oregon is what i use most. but have been eyeballing powersharp.

You only see Oregon reps here as it's the chain that built the PNW hand's down there in every mills, forestry dept and big timber sites and always in stock with any chain. Always bring the Oregon rep beer or local moonshine as always good for five loops or so

20in .325 which i buy is aroun 18-20 and the second is aroun 9 or 10 dollars

I'd a voted for Stihl IF they made ripping chain. But Bailey's Woodland Pro is where I've got the most links.

And since

that happened it seems the POLL should be
"Stihl"
"other"
