Custom sizes you say? Do you have any rims for 3/8" Picco (larger diameter than the 3/8 regular) that go on an Oregon small spline?
That small spline 8pin,is it a pin type or conventional?Well I am assuming You are speaking about 3/8 Low Profile like 91 series Oregon? I have no idea about Picco or what ever stihl calls their chain this week? As I mentioned in my sig I have small 7 spline 3/8"-8 and 3/8"-9 that will drive 91 series or equal chain. I have carvers running this setup with hundreds of hours of use. Only problem I see is using a near 7hp Modded PS7900 running a 9 pin rim and a quarter tip carver bar and just punishing the crap out of the low pro chassis chains.

That could be. The Picco rims are slightly (about 1/16" or so) larger outside diameter than the standard rim, and fit better with the low-profile picco chain. A standard rim will drive it, but not as well. I don't know off the top of my head whether the Picco chain and the 91 series match, but I would guess they do. I assume yours are the same outer diameter as the Oregon rims.
Not to hi-jack the thread, but I've been meaning to ask about your avatar. Do you race or sponsor that modified?
Yes, the lo-pro/Picco rims need to be a bit larger diameter, to compensate for det different (lower) chassis of those chain.
Sponsor / also Helped in the Pits working on it before we stopped racing a while back due to the economy tightening up. LOL I should prolly change it ehh? 358 Modified Dirt Car

you can run 3/8" Low Pro in a regular 3/8" drive rim BUT Not able to run regular 3/8" in a rim or spur sprocket designed for 3/8" Low Pro Chain due to the tangs on the drivers bottoming out!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes,that correct. Also may get a couple of .325s in the same sizeI assume Your talking Small 7 spline 3/8"? I have Oregon Cast type 7 tooth and these Pin type Steel in 8 or 9 tooth

Scott the milling guys have discussed this matter extensively . The picco/low pro chain will run on a regular 3/8 rim but is not pretty.
I had some custom rims made up specifically for picco to fit my 066 med spline clutch. I use the picco chain for milling as it has a smaller kerf.
P.S. what kind of prices are you looking for your rims and what are the sizes/pitches available? Should just send you a PM about this?
Like I Mentioned in Post 3 running 3/8" Low Pro on higher hp saws will tend to have its way with Low Pro chain...... I have asked Oregon for special chain for carvers with the VX or VXL Cutter on a 72 Chassis instead of the weaker 91 chassis. But if you need a low pro cutter on higher hp saws their will be a
"weak link" that being a chain designed for lower cc saws.
