Exhaust mod on an 090

as per title. any thoughts upon this mad idea?
was think of removing two of the louvre`s on the grill on the exhaust and re-taching to 8.5K. or should I get it ported as well :msp_w00t:

Oh great, another phantom alky burning 090:msp_rolleyes:. MM it, retune it and see what you end up with.

Just remove the louver plate altogether and retune it.There won`t be much if any difference, I have been there and done it.

If you really want to increase the cutting speed on an 090 just change the drive sprocket up to a ten pin drive.

The 090`s have torque galore, they seem a little slow til you up the chainspeed and on a shorter bar like a 48" with sharp chisel chain it will impress you how fast it will cut. I have adapted one of mine to run 3/8" chain but there is hardly any difference in cut off times between it and .404 chisel.
