Brian has to be one of the best. He approaches it from a totally scientific viewpoint. He'll spend hours measuring every dimension of a saw and input all that data into computer modeling software he wrote. He's able to predict the expected outcome withing 5% I believe. That man knows his way around a saw!

Seems like I heard he built that saw in a saw building contest on another site and was the winner.

He did a 440 for me and I couldn't be more pleased, a year of hard use and stronger than ever.

200ssm6, you have the coolest signature haha! I rep you for it every time I can!
Stihl MS440/460, 044/046 Dual port cover part # 1128 140 0801
Stihl MS660/066 DP cover part # 1122 140 0800
Large felling dawgs
440/460 inner 1122 664 0506
440 outer 1122 664 0501
460 outer 1128 664 0501
660 inner 1122 664 0508
outer 1122 664 0503
Ceramic chain catcher (fits all 3) 1122 650 7700
PNW clutch cover(fits all 3) 1122 648 0401
If your 044 has a serial # of X29583701 or BELOW, you have the 10mm wrist pin.

A cool one to add would be the clip and screen from the TS 400 Cut-off saw for putting a spark arrester on a muffler modded with 9/16 pipe.
Screen - 4223 141 9000
Clip - 4223 141 6600

Later,

Thanks! I figured we older fellers could help out some of the noobs. Now they can just search for one of my posts and find their info. I will also add the 400 cut off parts.:D

When you port with a wheel and the guideline's of Jennings you have a recipe for performance. I'd love to have TW port my 084.

TW has cooked up a whole new stew for chainsaws, far beyond adapting motorcycle specs to them.

:jawdrop: That's just flat out awesome!!!To get that kind of power out of a 359 saw amazes me..
