Which moisture meter?

amazon has a couple on there for $25 or so.. Just wondering if they would suffice for checking fire wood?
 
Most folks use the grey/yellow model from General Tools. Although there are many other good units as well, but check the user reviews online before buying them.

It's interesting that we haven't seen this topic in here for quite some time. It used to be a daily discussion.

this one seems to work as good as any for the price. how accurate? "shrug"

when you go to check the moisture, do you split the piece and check the inside?
