I saw an interesting video about greasing Husqvarna clutch bearings. There is a hole running through the crank, and you jam a grease gun into it. The grease goes through the crank and out of some holes under the bearing.

This made me realize I need service manuals. I have an Echo CS-590, a Jonsered CS-2240, and an Echo PPF-280, and I don't want them to fall apart because of a maintenance issue that isn't mentioned in the consumer manuals. Is there a source for these items online, preferably free?

That is a nice feature on those since they are an inboard clutch and removing the clutch to grease would be very unhandy.

Be careful with that, you will pack your bearing with all kind of crud.

Been doing it this way for yrs. Just don't over grease.

I'm wondering if my Echo tools have the same grease holes.

A kind soul gave me an Echo manual. Looks like the shaft doesn't have the handy greasing holes Husqvarna uses.
