I have a old 020 avp currently has a 16" bar with a 1/4" .043 chain. I am looking for a new 12"or 14" bar and chain combo. They could not find any thing in 1/4" I tried to just get a 3/8 picco sprocket from my stihl dealer and they could not get it, called Bailey and they could not help me.. there has to be something out there. I want to use it as a limbing saw I was thinking the 1/4 .043 chain would really let it zip up rpms. I at least need a spare chain for what I have

The current chain us a stihl, markings are 1/4" and number 3 on the bottom. The bar is an aftermarket, all i can make out it DURO, something, stampings on the bar J30 3005/4013. Chain has 80 drivers sprocket has no numbers on it .

So as long as I stick with 1/4", if I switch chain and bar I can switch to .050 and everything will be fine correct?

3 on the bottom means it is .050 gauge.
Duro i think would be a stihl logo
Post what you want in trading post, some one here should have it.

Forrestor has the 1/4" set up in .043" gauge. You would spend more on a 3/8" drive sprocket than a new 1/4" B&C set up.

The only thing I can find in the forster website for 1/4 bar is carving nose bars
