Okay that makes sense, does the flywheel seem correct? It only has the one magnet.

In regards to the replacement key, it was aftermarket so maybe I should try a oem one.

Mine only has what looks to be one magnet, it's oem. The one magnet seems strong.

Ok I have 2 questions regarding the 660. First is the poly flywheel supposed to have two magnets? And second what would cause the flywheel key to break after just replacing it?

I'm thinking maybe I should get a pressure and vacuum tester and at least rebuild the top end. Assuming there's not a leak somewhere. Could the carb be bad?

Oem carb, I put a kit in a few years ago. I don't have a pressure or vacuum tester. What's a good tester to get? I recently replaced the intake boot it was torn and had light scoring on intake side of piston. Haven't checked compression yet.

I'm trying to tune my 660, the problem I'm having is the h needle. I started with a full tank of fuel, new air filter and fuel filter. I turned the h needle all the way in and backed it out a full turn. With a tach it's not is over 15000 rpm which is way too high. When I richen it up it doesn't...

Weight doesn't bother me that much anyway, I'm used to using a 660 with 36''bar. And I can deal with a little slower cutting versus Stihl or husqvarna.

Weight and power seems to be the two biggest complaints versus Stihl or husqvarna. But considering echo is alot cheaper and in my opinion just as reliable if not more. The echo is a better deal in my opinion. Everything echo I have owned has been flawless.

Could you post a few pics please, how do these do compared to Stihl or husqvarna? I really like echo products
