Ok I have 2 questions regarding the 660. First is the poly flywheel supposed to have two magnets? And second what would cause the flywheel key to break after just replacing it?
When you look at the flywheel it looks like two magnets. The key broke because the taper was not tight, clean, matched or had oil on it so it could spin a little. Mike
Just rebuilt the saw; new p+c, new impulse line, intake boot, new seals, new fuel filter. Passed pressure and vacuum testing. The problem is it won't start, it tries to fire but it floods and gas comes out muffler. I used a business card to set the ignition, the coil and plug are both new as well. Carb is good, I even tried a new one.
066/064 there are so many combinations of ignitions and flywheels that most times, if you change anything it will be wrong. I always ask for help from someone that knows the different combinations Jacob J is my go to guy.
