    What's everybody's favorite wood to mill?

    Awe man they're all so nice, but I gotta say I really enjoy Ash. Some wild color too, nice grain, and a great live edge! But of course the walnut is hands down gorgeous. Image is from a top cut off ash turned into a coat rack by my wife! Couldn't find any images of a rough cut piece tonight...

    Bad ass score! I have 2 xl2's and I love em. I'm not much of a small engine guy either but I would start with cleaning the carb like you said, and a new spark plug for starters. But once you get it running keep it running, don't let it sit long try to run it as often as possible! Good luck...

    looking at firewood processors...nothing really tickles my fancy...what have you run?

    When we're really moving and the logs are good we are 5-6 face cords a running hour. But in my market our split wood needs to have very consistent size pieces. So we throw large pieces right back in. One log loader, one operator. We're also talking mixed hardwoods not nice straight telephone...
