    500i issue

Thanks! I’ll do that after flushing the fuel tank and changing the fuel filter. It’ll be a few days until I get back to it.

    500i issue

Sorry, I should have been more clear on the liquid carb clean…I add a capful of berrymans or ethanol shield , mechanic in a bottle when I fill up a saw after I service them

    500i issue

So …. I drained the fuel, and there’s some dirt/sediment in the tank, which I drained as good as I could. I only had a small amount of fresh fuel mix left, which I put in and ran it. At first it still ran poorly, same as in the video. Then I ran it just off idle, for a bit, until the rpm started...

    500i issue

Thanks! I’ll look closer, before I make a fool out of myself….

    500i issue

I may end up doing just that. I still have to replace the starter rope and oil pump. It’s for a local tree company that I do all their repairs for, but I’m not opposed to it. However, I did become pretty good at repairing all their Husqvarna battery saws by tinkering….But this one, if it needs...

    500i issue

Will do.Thanks! So, the injector would be the assembly that’s in place of the carb, same location?

    500i issue

Damn autocorrect…I meant take it in and have it checked out/hooked on the computer. But thanks Zero Junk, for confirming this as well. I about to pull the cylinder before I took it to the dealer to have him look at it. His main repair guy wasn’t there yesterday and he thought it was weird...

    500i issue

Hello all, Does anyone have experience with fuel injected saws? I have this 500i that runs like its fuel starved (?), as shown in the video….. I pulled the plug and muffler, and the cylinder is perfect. But, what's interesting is…in turning the flywheel (by hand) with these removed, you’d...

    Husqvarna T540xp control unit issues

Ahh, good question. Unfortunately, I can’t answer that one. I side hustle for a local dealer, and I’m signed in under their account, so that may be true. I have noticed that sometimes, it doesn’t “connect” to the unit being repaired, and in that case, you can’t even use the...

    Husqvarna T540xp control unit issues

Actually, I just looked it up by the part number, and it might be a part you can purchase. P/n 583 897 101

    Husqvarna T540xp control unit issues

I think it might be a dealer only thing, but I’m not 💯 sure. It most likely probably is. That’s bs that they charge that much. But from their side, it’s still labor, overhead, profit etc, I guess…

    Husqvarna T540xp control unit issues

Yup… when you replaced the main control unit, it doesn’t know what it is yet…you need access to the “service hub” from Husqvarna. It’s pretty much as simple as plugging the unit into a laptop, with the “service hub”, and your battery in between, inputting the serial number and product #, and...

    Husqvarna T540xp control unit issues

Good morning Xmaniac, So..I’ve since recently received the Husqvarna “Service Hub” software and begun using it…this software is needed when replacing certain parts, and the control unit, which is the “brain”, needs to have the firmware installed. What kinds of issues are you having? Maybe I can...

Are Carbide Chains Worth the Extra Cost?

All very good info and feedback on carbide chains. However, please know that carbide contains cobalt, whose dust particles are highly carcinogenic. Any type of sharpening, diamond file, dremel or diamond wheel will produce fine dust particles. If you choose to sharpen the chain yourself, dust...

    550xp mark 2 piston

Wouldn’t t hurt to add maybe 4-8 oz of mix fuel down there and run the crank forward and backwards a few dozen times to flush anything, then dump it out.

    Old 031AV - crank seals

I’ve bought from all the above suppliers here in the U.S. I’ve used their aftermarket seals, and never had issues. All these guys have given good service as well. I’d have no issue on going AM…

    550xp mark 2 piston

One important point… where did the piece of the broken pin end up? Is it still in the case somewhere?

    Husqvarna T540xp control unit issues

Good Day, Does anyone here work on these electrics? I Have the above saw that I determined the control unit was bad. Verified this by using a known good control unit from another saw… Received the new part(6 month wait time), installed it, and the control panel just flashes until battery is...
