    you can green scrubby the bottom or get a scotch brite polishing pad and clean the bottom and just reseason it. as for the crud at the top you can scrape it off. i am assuming its on the outside? cut it off with a putty knife or box cutter maybe if you dont want to reseason the whole pan. maybe...

    i underdstand completely. i have thought about it alot and when they were made they must have had large discs that were the same size as the pans so they could grind them down fast for production.. i wish i had something like that for cleaning and restoring

    thats the jonsered brake handle i didnt have to grind on that one. the husky brake handle is at the same angle at the handlebar so it has much more clearance than that. i had to grind inside the chanel where the metal arm of the brake itself slides in the plastic part wouldnt go down far enough...

    yes it fits i have one on mine. i was told that it would interfear with the brake handle but it doesnt. i got a husky brake handle because i was told that and had to grind a bunch of material off ot to get the screw hole to line up then i tried the jred handle and it worked just fine.

    putting the new one in mighr be a giant pain in the ass how would you ever know if you got the damn thing on without wrecking it. its not like there is a lot of room for play
