    the all aussie dribble thread!

Yep, if you lose track of what’s happening then it’s best to stop and start over. Won’t be long and you’ll be shuffling them through without the clutch [emoji1303]

How did the road ranger box treat you? Did you match the ground speed with engine revs to make crunch free gear changes. It’s like riding a bike once you’ve got the hang of it [emoji1303]

And bring back the carb fed V8s. The 351 falcons had a sound of their own with twin pipes [emoji7]

    the all aussie dribble thread!

I’m probably going to sound like an old man but here goes anyway. When I was 17-18 Bathurst was bigger than the AFL grand final. My mates would discuss who was hosting a Bathurst get together and who had the biggest tv to watch the race on. We would have a huge cook up on the bbq and enjoy a few...

    Chain for Australian hardwood

He sounds like a legend and I could listen to his stories for hours. This type of bloke reminds us that we shouldn’t whinge when times get tough, he’d just put his head down and bum up and get on with life [emoji1303]

    the all aussie dribble thread!

Hey guys, does anyone else have restricted access to some topics? I want to open the Aussie News thread but it will not allow me to open the content. Do I need to ask permission to read it or something?

    Chain for Australian hardwood

This is interesting, I’ve cut Aussie firewood for person use for a few years and like the .404 chain but I’ve always had it on my 066 saw. What do you mean when you say slow moving? I’ve usually had high revs on to keep the chain cutting fast, am I doing it wrong?

    the all aussie dribble thread!

I missed it, I was in Violet Town Victoria. I heard what I thought was thunder and got back into my truck. The movement of the truck absorbed the swaying. The young girl in the quarry weigh bridge freaked out [emoji1787]

    Bad chain filing

I thought that was what you were referring to, I think Gaudaost was making a joke [emoji1787]

    Bad chain filing

Cheers JD, I didn’t blue the bar. I’m guessing that previous owner was really leaning on the saw with the bar up the other way. It seems to be cutting larger chips now instead of fine dust so I must be improving. I’ll try to get better pics tomorrow afternoon.

    Bad chain filing

The bar hasn’t been touched as I only purchased this saw last week and wanted to give it a quick test in some wood. I’ve since taken the rakers down a bit, I don’t know why the tooth is shiny on the top [emoji2369]

    Bad chain filing

Thoughts on this please people. It’s cutting ok but I think the bar has got a bit of wear. I’m using a 7/32 file but it looks like it is too big to create a hook in the tooth. I’ve got a lot to learn so am happy to hear suggestions.

    Bad chain filing

My hand filing looks just like the top pic. I need to sacrifice a chain and keep filing to be able to keep filing material away to see if I can clean out the gullet and get the “hook” look on the cutter.

Do you have to "Break In" a new chainsaw?

I cringed when my local Stihl dealer gave my brand new 462 a pre delivery inspection. Fresh fuel and bar lube and it must have been revving wide open for about ten seconds I think. It felt like ten minutes. I’ve never revved anything brand new to full revs, just doesn’t seem right.

Convert stihl ms290 to ms390 or not

I stripped the spark plug thread on my 290 so I put the 390 too end on it. It is still running in but is going well so far. I just plugged the decomp hole and it’s easy enough to start. I probably should have looked around for a genuine top end but didn’t have a lot of time so I threw a Chinese...

    nekked girl flicks

I got it too. I also had a random girl add me on Snapchat a few nights ago asking me to subscribe to her premium snap account. She puts up tease vids on her normal Snapchat hounding me to subscribe to her premium which I have no intention of doing. Last night she looked stoned and shared a nude...
