    Splitting aid pry tool

I have placed the cut flat on the splitter beam, run the wedge all the way in, flip it over and repeat. Usually have to take the axe to it to finish.

    Look what followed me home...

Excellent example of “Yankee” ingenuity. Do you actually wax your tractor?

hey question how do you deal with trash in the trees?

Dang, I wondered where I left that stand.

    The most underrated firewood.

Dogwood begins growing in an abandoned clearing. After a few years other trees outgrow it and it dies from lack of sunshine. Some of the best wood when you can find it.

    Craigslist laughs?

Firewood-$85 (Blacksburg) Delivered. Firewood has just been cut (green) and is in firewood-length logs. Not split. Although it’s green right now, it will season nicely through the summer in time for winter burning. I’ll bring a 7’ bed load and drop off at your location to most areas of...

has corona go you shutdown or off work

I drive a school bus, also. We have been using the bus to deliver meals to kids on Monday’s and Wednesdays. Me driving and two teachers handing out. Getting ready to put out a garden, which I haven’t done for three years.

    Whats a makita chainsaw?

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. It’s a 520i. https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/what-model-is-this-makita.341052/#post-7230392 It’s a little rough but cuts about like my 029 Super.

    Time for a new chain?

If it hasn’t been mentioned, make sure your chain is tight on the bar. A loose chain will move laterally as you file, messing up the angle.

    Time for a new chain?

“When is it time for a new chain?” Uh, now?

    Future firewood, Virus?

Good Lord, Al! How do you find gloves to fit them big hands?

    Future firewood, Virus?

For me the belly is hard to get rid of. I lost 28 pounds last year but only one pants size. I looked like a June bug on a stick weed. I guess it was all that beer I drank when I was young. It doesn’t help that I’m married to a great cook. If I didn’t cut and burn wood, I’d be as big as a house.

    What model is this Makita?

Bought it this morning off of craigslist. The fella said it hadn’t been started in a couple of years but he had drained the gas out. I brought it home and put fuel in it and it started right up. The decals are mostly gone and I haven’t found a model number. It feels like about a 45cc saw.

burning plastic, no, wait a moment!

My father in law ruined his garden spot by dumping ashes in it. He never burned any trash in his stove.

Any Woodmaxx kinetic splitter owners out there?

I bought a new Woodmaxx flail mower last year. It’s one tough built machine. Their splitters probably are, too. Great company to deal with and free drop shipping.

Seeking advice on woodsplitter for home using 16 cord annually

I admire the OP’s commitment, but for $12,000, I could buy enough wood for my owb for 10 or 12 years.

    Firewood tip #368

I had actually given up splitting by hand about 20 years ago. I used to have bad back spasms so I bought a hydraulic splitter. An eight lb maul would put me in bed for three days but I can use the x27 as long as I pace myself.

    Poulan vs Stihl

I might have to eat my words. I was just at Tractor Supply and they have the Poulan 5020 49cc? for $159.00! It looks like a well made saw. That’s cheaper than the cheapest Stihl. In fact, you could buy two of them for less than a Stihl 290. I don’t like saws with primer bulbs but at that...
