Why would you go to cool it down with water? Would that not warp the case halves?

I had a crank seal pop out and once it was re-seated the engine ran fine. It had me chasing my tail for a while though. Husky is a good make as a general rule. All makes have their issues...just don't give up and you will find what the issue is.

Check flywheel key by removing flywheel, remove muffler and see if piston is scored, check fuel lines and pick up tube in fuel tank

More suckage. Poulan Pro PP4218AVX. Roadside pick-up. Almost like new. Runs n cuts. Will do the usual cleaning and adjust carb for optimum running on 32:1. If it is free it's for me.

When you replaced the cat muffler with the noncat 5100 muffler ,did you have or see any issues with the top cover melting? I bought a non cat and was noticing the exit will blow against the top cover.

The oregon Universal Ignition module 33-053 worked. I installed it this morning and 45 minutes later running and idling well. Thanks for all your help.:)

I did see the Mega Fire and pics looked the same as this. I have also read a 120si coil swap will work without the Module, everything is in the coil. So I have 2 options. Thanks again.

Think I will try the Universal Ignition Module from ebay for 15 dollars before the coil swap from a 120SI that. If the module does not do it, I will fond a coil and try that. I will post my results.
