Simple Green for basic cleaning and Goof Off to get any sap or pitch off. For carb work I use Gumout. Be careful soaking anything too long even simple green will discolor magnesium and carb finishes

I don’t have an answer to your question but I will post to bump this thread. I am currently working on a 075 and I bought the Cross piston and cylinder kit. I would recommend cleaning up the ports with a deburr tool otherwise it’s decent kit

There’s roller bearings in transmissions so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work in a pinch. Probably cleaned the carbon off the piston

My favorite 2stroke oil is 2stroke oil. In a pinch 30W works well

You obviously aren’t from around here because that’s pretty mild. Usually we strap explosives to it and see if we can send it to the moon.

Well it only took me 4 years but I finally have this 075av almost finished. It’s been an absolute money pit, and sat in pieces in a box for a few years but now just a few more odds and ends and she’s finished
