They do lock but the caps are plastic. The actual plastic part locks. It's not going to deter someone that really wants to get into the tank but it will keep "kids" from messing with the tanks.

I've ran both and currently run a Bandit 1590. I wouldn't trade it for nothing. I am going to be purchasing an additional chipper and have tested the Bandit 1490, it's a little lighter than the 1590 but still is a 15" chipper. It will be a little easier to haul with my 3/4 ton truck.

Message to EMR You mentioned your autofeed is not working now, did you plug yours when the autofeed was working?

When yours plugs where does the material typically plug? In the discharge chute? In the disk housing? I spend a lot of time getting mine unplugged, how do you unplug yours? I'm trying to speed up the process.

Does your chipper have Autofeed? Just wondering if the autofeed helps, hurts or doesn't matter.
