Are you dumb enough to put your hand on a sparkplug while testing? Only been doing this for forty years, and never had an EXPLOSION.

Before throwing parts at it, learn to diagnose the problem first. When the saw acts up, pull it over two or three times and pull the sparkplug. Is it wet or dry? If it is wet, check for spark. With the saws sparkplug removed, use a known good sparkplug, and lay it on its side, on the metal part...
