    Stihl Flippy Cap solution

Ha! I bought two! Full disclosure it was to "fix" the unfixable mtronic problem first. Ridding myself of the flotsam/jetsam catching nooks/crannies of the flippy caps was a nice bonus. Love my Echos & my Echo dealer!

    Echo 2511T Muffler Mod Instructions/Pics?

The Canadian parts fiche is broken into two groups by serial #. Mine is in the second group which uses the 851 muffler. The other group uses the 860. I ASSumed Canada has the same emissions as the USA. My manual says EPA 2010 and/or CARB Tier 3. My saw was purchased new September of 2018 & one...

ECHO 2511T and the Husqvarna T525?

Could be a weight issue, the 2511T weighs half of the last saw that I ran 91 VXL on.

It seems to last forever for .19 liter.

ECHO 2511T and the Husqvarna T525?

The MS150 uses that tiny .043 1/4 pitch stuff, Echo is 3/8 .050. Any chance your dealer has a demo saw for you to cut some rounds?

ECHO 2511T and the Husqvarna T525?

Handle has a spring on the side handle and the rubber bush mounts on the main handle like the 355T. I didn't notice any significant vibrations, "feels" like a chainsaw to me. I am only on tank 5 though. It is so small I am not sure how much vibes it could make. I have had the chain chatter...

ECHO 2511T and the Husqvarna T525?

I also have the 2511T. It's tiny, super light weight & runs like a champ. I use it for trail maintenance, both hiking & carrying it on my dirt bike. I cut from branches (fast) up to a fallen tree that swallows the 14 inch bar (not so fast). For 23 cc it does an amazing job. Highly recommended.

ECHO CS 355T leaking bar oil out the breather when not in use

I was led to believe the 355 muffler is an empty shell by the few muffler mods I have seen. See pics here: https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/echo-cs-355t-muff-mod-qs.301968/ For all my saws so far (4) I run no name summer weight bar oil from my local auto parts place, spared no...

ECHO CS 355T leaking bar oil out the breather when not in use

Saw was cold when I cleaned it all up yesterday & refilled the tank. Pressure should be atmospheric only. I left it since yesterday & sure enough it is pumping oil out the breather hole today. I have cleaned it up again & am leaving it sit w/caps up to see if it will continue to ooze. In theory...

ECHO CS 355T leaking bar oil out the breather when not in use

Looks like your 330 uses the same tank vents in the same locations as the 355. Remove your pull start housing assembly to see your vent hole for the oil tank. Mine was nice and oily inside/behind the housing. Makes a nice mess in the cooling holes/mesh of the starter housing too.

ECHO CS 355T leaking bar oil out the breather when not in use

I didn't want to start a thread but couldn't find any w/this issue. I took my 355T hiking to do trail maintenance & was carrying it bar pointed up in my Dakine builder pack for approximately 8 hours. I placed the saw in a plastic bag to keep my expensive pack from getting oily from the bar...

Stihl 201T or Echo 355T as Go-To saw in 4-saw amateur arborist lineup?

I have both the 355T & a shiny new 2511T. I have one season on the 355T, it starts, runs, stops, just like it should. The 2511T is also a runner, the best part is the size/weight or the lack of it. I packed it all day on a trail maintenance hike & it weighed the same at the end of the day as at...

    261c and 201tcm problems

You & I are the minority on this forum. I had exactly one Stihl 201tcm. Purchased new & used recreationally. My experience mirrored yours but worse. My dealer was unable to solve the problem as the software said my saw was perfect despite the 10 % failure to start stat. I replaced my dealer & my...

    Auto-Tune / M-Tronic

I am a sample size of one. Short version: One pro grade mtronic top handle saw purchased brand new January 2016. It didn't work out. Sold it 6 months ago and now happily moving on to a non mtronic pro grade saw. I voted HATE it.

@Brian55 : How is the chain chatter situation? Any resolution? What kind of wood are you cutting?

    found the cs2511t in florida...

@stubnail67 How was the price compared to the 355T? In Canada both the 355 & 2511T are listed at (nearly) the same price. The oversize fill caps are a nice touch too!
