    $40 wood pile

Finished filling out the second firewood permit this afternoon. I’m thinking there is approximately 4 cord in the pile now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Easy pickings

Been a while since I’ve gone off the homestead to get firewood. Got a permit from the state to cut close to home and had a beautiful day here to get a load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cautious in my old age.

I’ve got some logs down that need to be cut up. It is so dry here I am waiting for a bit of rain before I go after it. When I was younger I was more willing to take a chance but now that I’m older I will just wait on nature to remove the danger of starting a fire. I have actually cut in the...

    Husqvarna in short supply?

Had a chance to visit Madsen’s saw shop this morning and was surprised to find the Husqvarna saw shelves nearly bare. Plenty of Stihl available there. Asked if they were getting out of the Husqvarna market and the worker told me they are just hard to get at the moment. He said they have a...

Been a while since I’ve purchased a saw

But made an offer on eBay for the Shindaiwa 550. Looks to be in pretty good shape other than a home made repair to the case. The chain brake internals are missing but I had a spare to put on until I can get the other one rebuilt. Also had an issue with it not shutting off via the switch...

    Didn’t need another saw but....

Threw a lowball bid at this Shindaiwa 350 on eBay and was surprised to get it for $15.50. Owner said it would fire with fuel in carb. Cleaned the carb screen and reset needles and it runs well. Good little brush saw Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Strange one

Questions about a saw. I have a little saw I’ve been using lately without issue until the other day. I went to start it and couldn’t get it to fire. I tried a new plug without any luck. Couldn’t see any spark with spark tester . Disconnected stop/start switch and still nothing. Gave up on...

Got a chance to haul some wet heavy wood to the wood shed. The Powerwagon hauls a decent load. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Easy start

It’s been a few years since I’ve run this trimmer but I had to cut some woody stuff and needed the 80 tooth blade. The old Shindaiwa C35 fired up on the first pull. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Getting lazy

Saw this on a local sales site and decided to give it a try. Definitely not a necessity but I like checking out the gadgets. Hauled the first load of old wood up the hill to the shed and it is a step up from using the wheel barrow. Also easier getting into tight places than with the quad and...

    Square grinder

Picked up a used Simington and I have a lot to learn. Converted an old round ground loop and butchered it up pretty good. Surprisingly it wasn’t making sawdust and actually cut decently compared to my round ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A little Alder

Power company took down a couple of small Alders. I was able to get them dragged out with the portable winch and hauled off the ridge with the Ranger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hauling off the ridge

I picked up a Polaris Ranger and I’ve been using it to access the ridge behind our house. Every time I go up I take a couple of minutes to throw on a little wood. Slowly getting a pile of rounds ready for the splitter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Finished cutting this bunch

Will head up soon to yank out some more logs. Weather has been good for the most part and I finished today before it rained. Time to take a shot of an empty heading up the river. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
