I'm repairing an old Montgomery Wards splitter for a friends parents. It's been run regularly for 30+ years and was getting tired.
It didn't have any power to split anything and would bubble over while trying.
I changed the Pump and put a newer engine on it, changed the fluids and hoped for...
Looking for a clean ms261 PHO to replace my 026. My 026 is going to a buddy that just gt a wood stove and wants to learn to cut wood.
Best deal possible! Thanks guys.
Picked up this Didier MF26 two weeks ago for $200 in non running condition. I got it running pretty easy and split some 3' chunks of old, dry maple with huge knots that my buddies splitter couldn't handle. I decided to build this thing back up and I'll post my progress here.

Picked up an FS85r that is missing the air filter and housing as well as the orange plastic shroud/case/plastics.. Anyone have a parts trimmer?
Thanks!

Got it running but would like some help getting it tuned from someone with some experience. All the shops that I've called want $50 minimum and have a 3-6 week wait...
Looking for an 036, 034S, 361, etc. Needs to be a good, clean running saw. Soft woods around here, I would prefer a 24-26" bar, 3/8" chain combo but would consider a PHO for the right saw. Let me know what you might have, shipped to 98366. Thanks!

For the last few...
Using Stihl chains on my 028. They are the green link chains, .325. Box says 26rm2. I've been searching all over the net and can't find a recommendation on what size depth gauge I should use. I picked up a cheap Oregon one that's .025. Is this ok to use? I'm still a newb when it comes to...
