    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

Sure, You want it? Actually now that I am more experienced with these AM 346xp kits, I think the kit either had the impulse hole plugged with sealent when I built it the first time or the grove in the cylinder wall for the impluse was not cast deep enough. I think if these were fixed it would...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

UPDATE!! Well I tore the saw completly back down. Put in new crank bearings/seals, went through the carb again, and bought a new AM 346xp C/P. I didn't find anything wrong with the carb. Put the saw all back together and The saw started in three pulls and runs strong. So, I think the first AM...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

Yes, I pulled the flywheel off to see if it had spun on the crank and it was fine, so I just reinstalled it.

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

Its got great spark, jumps about a 1" with no prpblem. Tried a new plug with no change. The plug I am running is RCJ7Y, which I think is right plug. The muffler is on nice and tight and is threadlocked on. I am at a loss with this saw. I know my way around two strokes, thats why this really has...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

Redid a compression test with a high end Snap-on tester, that I know works. Its the gauge I use when I work on my race snowmobile and quads. Only got 130lb max. Did three test back to back with the same result. Let the saw sit over night and still won't start and when I pull the plug out the...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

Thanks for the tips. I will try a different compression tester and see what that reads. I tried to get this saw running without the base gasket, (using sealent) first, Thinking it would give it a better squish. Then when I started having all the problems, I put the base gasket in, thinking it my...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild won't run

OK, I just finished putting a new AM 346xp topend on my 350. The saw needed a new topend because someone put straight gas through it. The 346xp kit was a nice quality kit. First I took the saw all apart ( minus pulling the crank out ) and cleaned and inspected it. Put a new topend on it, new...

    husqvarna 350 carb settings

Hi, I have looked using the search and came up blank. So I will ask. I have removed the carb stops from my husqvarna 350 and now I need to know where the jets should be set for a starting point. I have them set at 1.25 turns out from lightly seated. Is this a good starting point? Thanks, Chad

    husqvarna 426xp upgrade for 350

I tried the original pin too. Same thing, covers to much of the grove. Anyone know any place that would have a 346xpNE piston kit in stock.

    husqvarna 426xp upgrade for 350

Well.......... I got the e-bay kit , I mentioned earlier in this post. All looked good when I first took it out of the box. The cylinder looked really good, nice open ports, no rough edges, just a real good cylinder. But, when I went to put the piston on the problem was found. I put one circlip...

    husqvarna 426xp upgrade for 350

Well I got the saw all torn down and cleaned. Looks like it was a lose carb boot, which caused it to run lean. I might be able to clean the cylinder up with a acid treatment, but I ordered that e-bay 346 kit anyway. I will let everyone know the quality of the kit when I get it. One question I...

    husqvarna 426xp upgrade for 350

Yeah, I know they are two totally different saws. But by putting a 346xp cylinder and piston on the 350, you get a nice "cheap" upgraded 350. And sense I have to replace the topend anyway, its a no brainer. Thanks, Chad

    husqvarna 426xp upgrade for 350

lol, Yeah, I just noticed the wrong number in the title. Should be 346 not 426, sorry. I know I will have to clearance the body/case alittle to make the 346 cylinder fit. Also the fact the e-bay kit includes all the air intake parts is a plus. Changing all these parts along with the crank...

    husqvarna 426xp upgrade for 350

Hi, I have done alot of reading here and I have decided to put a 426xpNE on my 350. I know OEM is always best but I bought this 350 with a bad C/P for cheap, and I would like to get it to a 426xp without spending as much as a new one. I was wondering if anyone has any experiance with this E-Bay...
