Want to Buy Strunk Spark Plug Cover

A diaphragm carb would be nice as this one has a float style but not really necessary. It's not a work saw but she does cut! I ended up clear coating it, kinda' fancy but I hate leaving them all chipped and nasty.

Nope, I think most of these had the top sawed off just because it was easier to access the plug. I was thinking about casting one but haven't got around to it.

One carb rebuild and my Wright blade saw runs . . . at least as long as I can keep putting gas in the line . . . . damn this thing is thirsty.

Picked this up at an estate auction, haven't messed with it yet but she turns over and the price was right. Missing the air cleaner element and cover, if I can't find replacements I'll just make a cover

I am a car guy actually so little chips, flaws, dings bug me. The whole thing is high temp engine (rattle can) enamel so it's pretty fuel and oil proof.

yea, I figured they didn't just saw the top off for the fun of it. David Bradley did something very similar as a plug guard but that didn't totally cover the top of the plug. I've actually considered trying my hand at doing a lost wax casting and make one, but it seems like a lot of farting...

Thanks guys! Its a Strunk Speed Demon (duh) 77 cc's of speed (yea right). I actually haven't put any fuel in it since I finished it up but it ran before I "fixed" it ! I have way more money in the paint & decals than in the original purchase price of the saw. Took a month of soaking the fuel...

    Most sought after saw.

My wife asked why once, so I asked her why she has so many shoes. Bringing a machine back to life that's been idle for decades, tossed in corner and forgotten. Or in this case the rafters of a machine shed. Most desirable . . . no idea . . . I just gravitate towards odd-ball cast...

Want to Buy Strunk Spark Plug Cover

Need a spark plug cover for a Speed Demon, one that doesn't have the top half sawed off. I think some David Bradley's used these too.

Very nice! I'm torn if I should re-paint mine as it is fairly decent (aside from the decals). Not sure what kind of paint Mcculloch used but it was some pretty tough stuff, and put on heavy.
