2012 heat courtesy of a CL free score... and a lot of sweat

Was the second to respond to a "free" wood add on CL. First guy passed so I was up. All red oak and a lot. The place was about 25 minutes from home, so 9 truck loads later, over three days, its ready to be split.

My guess is 5 cords which is right around a winter's worth.

I know. To top it off, these were some big trees, 20" DBH easily on the main stem. So I cut everything on site, but would have needed to noodle most of them. The homeowner gave me a hand loading all the big stuff. Get home, roll off the bed, and go back for another load.

Worked out real well - now I can split in my yard at my leisure and finally get a year ahead.
