Funny that the Solo isn't listed on that dlg.de website. It's a German made saw and it's a German website after all.

If memory serves me, the manufacturers has to contact DLG in some way to make their products objects for testing - but cannot choose which products that will be tested, nor when.

In the sales literature I received from Solo almost two years ago, the 694 was already listed and NOT the 690.

I looked at the Solo sales literature and it is a 2003 product catalog. The 694 is listed as "NEW" so it may be that 2002 was the last official year for the 690 model.

Is the 680 the same as the 690 except for displacement? Lots of the parts seem to interchange between the two models.
