I'm new to this site. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but I am looking for burls. More specifically box elder burl but I am interested in any species. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will probably have the best luck calling some tree care places where you live and letting them know you will come pick it up if you know they were doing the removal.

You might also call some loggers or Sawmills in the area. In the traditional Sawmill industry both boxelder and any kind of burls are considered junk. They usually won't even load it on the log truck. But if the logger knows that you'll give him something for it you can probably get them for cheaper than you would at a woodworking kind of a store.

I have oak burls right now, can look around for others (norcal) i can mail you small pieces.. otherwise the shipping would be $$$$

Not sure what youre looking for

I got this big ole spruce burl which I found really interesting. I'm not to sure about how to go about pricing it out would anyone happen to have advice on how to go about that?
