manual pole saw

I have a question for all the arborist. I have a chance to get a really good deal on a Jameson 3 section manual pole saw. Would I be able to stiff up the shafts buy injecting my own expanding foam into the shafts?
I was thinking the same kind used for sealing up cracks around the house.

I don't think expanding foam will stiffen it up. I have a fiskars and I don't mind the flex in the pole.
