This one uses all wood like my smoker but much more portable. The basket is all stainless and the piece on the planned down 2x4 is aluminum. We went to test in the sand on 4th of July and had a good time. Gona do some ribs soon. Gona take about 5 hours tho. I used to cook this way while building my smoker in 2017 and wanted to play with my wood and get some practice in since I had lots of wood from collecting it the last 2.5 years. Nice design. I use a somewhat similar setup that is a round grate that is attached to a round vertical post. Allows the cooking grate to swing on/off the heat etc. Also large enough to set a weber grill lid on. Works sweet. Cooking with wood is great!
