Just got one of these for my little Poulan. i went to the saw shop today and said i needed a new bar. he said he would give the Intenz or a regular oregon for the same price, so i figured what the hell i'll try the Intenz. right now i have it set-up like a normal bar. to use the intenz adjustment i need to remove the chain adjuster. not sure what i want to do yet. anyone have any experience with these? hows the intenz adjuster hold up?

I have one and it is hanging on the wall where it will stay till I toss it...

I found it worked best with the original adjuster on the saw....

Good luck..........................

:buttkick: well that's what i get for buying it. i don't quiet understand their reasoning with this bar. you still gotta loosen the nut/s and turn a screw. so how does it really help? well my dealer wanted me to try this out and that's why he offered me the same price. haha what should i tell him? the intenz adjust stripped out and the chain flew off the bar and chopped of my family jewels??

Poulan Pro 260

I have one of these that came with a Intenze type. I will
probably use it till saw or bar fails. I would not recommend switching
to one. They are a flimsy piece of junk in my opinion, but OK for
occasional use.

I guess anything is better than the OEM banana bar? i took it off to save it for nostalgia :) well i guess i will use it like a normal bar til it's worn out.

Damn i was hoping at least one person had something good to say about it

Use it to failure & then toss it

Same thing with safety chains, If you think you might run into a nail
or want to cut a root, use them & save wear & tear on the good equipment.

my dads craftsman special edition has the intez bar and we repalced it for our second time this summer. I love those bars beats using the adjusting screw on the front of the chain brake like my wild thing has. plus the bars arent that expensive, you can get them in 10,12,14,16,18 lo pro bars and 16,18,20 .325 bars

Those ez intenz brs are JUNK!
I tried one and took it back to lowes .
Kept making my chain fly off

I'll vouch for them!
I have used a couple so far and have had no problems.. I can set the tension correctly first time, every time, I think it is quite easy to use. No problems ever with the chain 'flying off'. I use them for "fleet commonality" as they will fit all my Poulans (K041 Mount), some with the tensioner pin and some without. They also provide a back up, should you break your tensioner pin off! I have an 18" double guard cheapie 'banana bar', the small tips on those bars are good for boring, but they wear out quick on that tight a turn! I currently run a 16" pro91 with 91vxl chain and am quite impressed with it.

PS: FXDL, are you sure that chain is the right length? there seems to be allot of slot protruding on that bar! I don't know those one bar nut poulans very well, how far can the tail of the bar go back into the saw? With the one nut hold down and the slot out that far, it may not clamp down enough to prevent tension loss on the intenz should you choose to use it. with the adjuster pin, it should work just fine! And as 'Nate Cutter' mentioned check the oiler hole in the bar to make sure it still lines up with the oiling slot on the saw mount that far out!

i'll check that out. i know it oils well. but as far as too long of chain. i'll take a peek at it. how many links should a 14" bar have?

well i counted the links there are indeed 52. and it oils great (maybe a little too much) i guess that's the nature of beast with that particular saw the bar hangs way out

the intez bar will be fine for the saw you have it on. for the village idiot it keeps them from over tightening the chain more than anything else, for people like yourself and the rest of the members here it only adds a side/quick adjustment where there once was none. just keep ur chain tight and use it til it wears out, on a small poulan like that it probably wont be as bad as most people would think.

Works fine!

I lost the chain adjuster on my 240 a couple of years ago. . . stripped out. Anyway I thought I'd try the Intenz bar set up and I have to say it works great. No problems.

Al
