Wife won't allow anything chainsaw related into the house, especially since we moved recently....I guess she learned the hard way. At least I never fired them up in the house...
Gas chainsaws stored in house only after drained and clean; also inside cases.
Battery and electric chainsaws also cleaned and in cases.

I put Zip degreaser and Dawn in the tank.
It does clean with soaking and scrubbing. It needs heat. I'm searching for a 115 volt heater that I like.
If the paint is chalky on metal parts, it will take it off if scrubbed on to much.
But maybe the best way is to check a aqueous parts cleaner site. Get something made for the application. The more heat, the better they work. But there's evaporation and burnt hands to contend with.

Thanks. I'm looking at it now. Sounds promising.
I only want the temperature up to 120ºF.
