Hi Everyone, I am new to the site. Can the Simington swing arm 451c grinder, grind .325 round chain as well or just square. thanks

Welcome to the site. The Simington 451c is designed to do square grinding. However, the square grind that it produces is a direct result of the profile that the operator puts on the grinding wheel. In order to get a desired square grind profile on the chain cutters the operator of the grinder must first dress the grinding wheel with the desired profile (shape). So....if you want to grind, say semi-chisel chain to have a round profile, all that is needed is to re-profile the grinding wheel with a round shape. You will, essentially, get the same result as you would with the much less expensive grinders. This is why most folks who buy a Simington grinder will use it to do square grinding. It is suited best for that application.....but is capable of producing pretty much any grind profile you want.
