Updated 2/22/18: Great running Stihl 070. Starts in 2-3 pulls cold and once after that. Will be sold with 24” bar for $575. Needs a new chain sprocket so I’ve included two. Prices are plus shipping (heavy). PayPal f&f or add 3%.

That new bar will have to be drilled to fit the 070 as it looks like a 3002 mount vs the 3001 mount the 070 uses. fwiw.
You know I’ve never mounted the duromatic bar. I thought 070’s were the 3002 mount?

They're not, they take a 3001 mount. A lot of newer bars (especially aftermarket) are double drilled so they will fit both the 3001 and 3002 mount. The bar can be adapted but will need another pair of adjuster holes and oil holes. So the slot is the same size but the position of the small holes doesn't align. I have an 070 so have been through this learning process myself. lol.
Good info thanks! In looking at my own pics I see the difference. The 24” bar is NOS and had 070 fit on outside so I just assumed it worked. Guess it will need to modified like you said.

Just lay them on top of each other, mark it and drill it. Ive done many.
I would if I was keeping this saw. I’ll split the duromatic bar from this sale. New price $699.
Guys I’ve decided to keep the Stihl 070 for now. I will be listing the 24” NOS Duromatic bar separately in the parts section tonight.
Back on the market. Just ran it tonight. I’ll include a 24” 3001 duromatic bar for $699 obo plus shipping. Pics of bar to come tomorrow.
Forgot to mention still includes 2 new chain sprockets.

Longest Bar You would use on a healthy 070?
Just to be clear. $699 includes powerhead, 24” 3001 mount duromatic bar and two new sprockets. The two bars in original post are no longer part of deal.
