Sprinklers were damaged due to root invasions. Need to find out where I can send the roots to have it identified. From my google search, most companies are located outside the US. (Those the DNA test or identify a tree by the roots by mailing them a sample of it).

Anyone here know where I can send the roots to here in the US?

roots won't get into a sprinkler line unless there is already a hole in the line. Or are you saying the damaged the head? I'm trying to picture how that could happen unless the sprinklers just aren't used.

Might try the USFS Forest Products lab in Wisconsin. I know they used to do wood ID...not sure if they still do.
