Another Makita from HD.

Well I went there yesterday and they couldn't sell it yet so I went back today
and picked up the saw, and the other stuff in the pic for $125 $132.87 OTD!
Very happy with this purchase, think I might leave it stock and put the piston in
it from my other one since the new one has a very minor scratch in the piston,
then again I may leave it alone.

I was surprised at the price, the other one i bought I paid $205 for.
Deffinatly got lucky.

Yes, I check every time I got to HD. I am there at least twice a month just for buying odds and ends for work.
It wasn't for sale yet, had to wait for the manager to sign off on it.

Probably don't need to check near as often now.

I had seen on here that you could pick them up "cheap" at HD, I had no idea it was that good of a price. I checked the web right away, and my local HD doesn't carry a rental line.

The nearest store to me that rents is almost 2 hours away.

I'm on the waiting list at one of them. All the other stores I've called swear that they don't do waiting lists for those things... guess I'll just have to call and bug them a lot...


Just a tip for those of you. The one store I talked to said that corporate decides when to get rid of rental equipment, and they said those "orders" come at the 1st of every month so call around the 3rd or 4th of every month...

Hard to believe. Bailey's wants $475 + S&H for a new Makita DCS 6401.

These saws are supposed to be best buys even at that price. I hear they can even pull a 30" bar and chain.
