I remember when the Haytalk forums went with this format. It was all downhill from there. Now it takes two days to get one post on a thread. On a good night they'll be like 11 members on. :help:
It can be gotten used to, but it's just not as easy to navigate as the other format no matter how used to it you get.
I hate not being able to click the button that takes you back to the main page after you post. Now you either have to click "top" first or scroll all the way down the so called "quick" navigation, looking for chainsaw.

Ya, I'm just getting really frustrated with it, I just can't find anything that I need, and used to. I could do it blindfolded before, did I mention its killing my eyes, and giving me a headache?
I have over 9000 posts. Now that means nothing, feel like I'm starting from 0 again.

I guess what we all have to realize is its been less than 24 hours since it changed to the new format. Of course its going to be different since we all logged a ton of hours in the old format and it felt comfortable to us because of the repetition. Its going to be different and quirky until we all get used to it. It is also going to take some adjustment for everyone, but we need to all give it a chance.
There are probably a ton of underlying issues/advantages/features of converting to the new format that we don't know or we will ever know about. There are also issues that will be addressed and adjustments made based on our feedback. This isn't the final product by no means, but it is the base of the new AS.

ditto bocorradi! :agree2: The older and crustier you get, the less you like change. I just made a post to the FOP thread easy as pie. You can select "reply in new tab", then when you submit it, you just kill the tab, goback to he previous tab, and it's updated with your post.
I don't see much difference from the old format except colors. It's all good! You'll get used to it, and might even like it after awhile!

I guess speed seemed to be a big issue where this one seems a lot faster. I also know they had to use another service for the trading post and it wasn't very tightly coupled to their regular forum sw. That is why you had to relogin to the trading post when you wanted to post an ad.
I know there was probably a lot more underlying issues the people that maintain this site could address, but speed is the biggest one I personally dealt with.
